Somfy Foundation brings its support to projects of common interest led by non-profit organizations and charity foundations. They all have in common to strive for proper and adequate accommodations for people in needs.

The fight against poor housing mobilises a lot of non-profit associations. They have various vocations and dedicate themselves to different types of vulnerable people such as youth, disabled persons, lonely mothers, elderly persons,…
Somfy Foundation’ financial programms support proper housing projects and consequently the creation of social ties for vulnerable people thanks to housing.

Since several years our Foundation has supported many non-profit organizations in the various fields of inadequate accommodations, such as for example:

  - Emergency shelters for homeless
  - Shared appartments for young volunteers, families of former homeless  
  - Social housing for people in dire 
  - Shelters for women escaping domestic violences
  - Family houses dedicated to families in extreme social situations
  - Shower trucks for homeless,
  - Wood burners against fuel poverty, …

The grants allocated by Somfy Foundation cover expenses concerning building, renovation, equipment and furniture.

Patronage policy

Somfy’s employees can make available their skills in around 170 jobs to support the various needs of the non-profit associations. They volunteer during working hours under the supervision of Somfy Foundation.

The continued and close collaboration between  Somfy Foundation and the various non-profit associations  enables them to identify the needs and ways the employees can bring their own contribution.

Digital learning is a key domain where Somfy Foundation offers contents, tutorials and skills support to assist non-profit associations by notably steping in the digital era.
